The appropriate material selection in combination with the embossing manufacturing process of diaphragms enables a higher load capacity of insert component connections and prevents contact with the medium. This significantly increases the axial pull-out forces of the component to be connected.
The „Plug-and-Place“-sealing solution combines static and dynamic sealing functionality in one piece. By offering an one piece solution the customer was not only able to simplify the assembly concept but also reduce the risk of assembly errors or potential leakage.

On January 10, 2019, the ThermoGeniusTM water heat exchanger was awarded the pro-K award 2019 at the pro-K competition of the industry association Halbzeuge und Konsumprodukte aus Kunststoff e.V.
Each year, the pro-K award is given to the best consumer products made of plastic in recognition of their outstanding product properties. The main criteria for this award are innovation, product design, and - most of all - functionality. The pro-K award stands for quality in plastic and is the only competition that focuses exclusively on plastic products.
A total of 19 consumer products made of plastic, including products from Gardena and Kärcher, were winners in the ten categories of the pro-K award 2019. The winning products reflect the diverse applications of plastic, ranging from office supplies and household products to toys.

ElringKlinger Kunststofftechnik GmbH (EKT) has been awarded an important certification by IATF, the International Automotive Task Force. The IATF 16949 standard brings together existing general requirements pertaining to quality management systems in the (chiefly North American and European) automotive industry. “Around 30 percent of the more than 100 automotive manufacturers in existence follow these requirements of IATF members – including leading OEMs. With this in mind, we are proud to now be certified to this standard,” says EKT’s General Manager Raik Lüder. The IATF is a working group comprising major automotive manufacturers and their suppliers with the aim of harmonizing QM methods and standards introduced at national level.

The demands made on sensitive products in terms of cleanliness by various industries such as medical device technology are continually increasing.
Having launched our class 8 clean room, we now offer the option of clean room manufacturing in line with our commitment to serving our customers as a partner in the development and production of innovative components and assemblies to meet both current and future requirements.
In a separate, 953-square-meter production area at the Bietigheim-Bissingen plant, products with elevated cleanliness requirements are now manufactured in a controlled environment. Final processing/finishing and packaging are performed in a class 8 clean room.
ISO 13485 is a standard that represents the requirements for a comprehensive management system for the design and manufacture of medical devices products. With this certification, we are working with a practical guideline for development and production of components and assemblies made of high-performance plastics for products in the medical industry. Furthermore, with the certificate we obtain a trust credit and a “door opener” into new potential markets.
Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) are the practices required in order to conform to the guidelines recommended by agencies that control authorization and licensing for manufacture and sale of products for the food industry. These guidelines provide minimum requirements that food product manufacturer must meet to assure that the products are of high quality and do not pose any risk to the consumer or public.
ElringKlinger achive this certificate for the following products: seals, diapragms, tubings, foils, bellows, engineering parts and semi finished parts made of PTFE, PTFE-compounds, PFA and PE. Bietigheim-Bissingen/Mönchengladbach (Germany), October 21, 2014 +++ ElringKlinger Kunststofftechnik GmbH, Bietigheim-Bissingen, a subsidiary of ElringKlinger AG, has acquired from the former owners all interests in Polytetra GmbH, based in Mönchengladbach (Germany). The purchase agreements were signed on the day prior to this announcement.
Serving markets outside the automotive industry, the acquiree's technological focus is on developing and producing polymer-based heat exchangers and electric heaters used in industrial applications. The company's product portfolio also includes tubing and finished parts made of fluoropolymers and high-performance plastics.
The products are used primarily in the field of plant engineering, in the chemical industry, in the area of energy and power station technology as well as in the semiconductor industry. Polytetra can draw on many years of experience in R&D and has significant product expertise. In acquiring the company, ElringKlinger Kunststofftechnik GmbH has further strengthened its position in the industrial sectors outlined above, as well as securing additional growth opportunities in the production of modules and systems.
